Debrathane

Debrathane

Description

Debrathane is a thick film 2 packs solvent free polyurethane coating with exceptional corrosion and abrasion resistance.

This material offers enhanced flexibility and impact resistance compared to solvent free epoxy coatings.

This special formulation allows films of up to 50mm thick to be applied in one continuous spray application.

Typical Uses

Wherever high resistance to corrosion or abrasion is required in such industries as oil, gas, water, for conductor tubes, transmission lines, sewage outfalls and tanking areas.

For repairs, maintenance, stripe coatings and small works, brushing grades are available.

Benefits of Debrathane

  • Fast cure and high build in one continuous spray application.

Substrates

Include mild steel, concrete, galvanised steel and aluminium. These will require the correct primer.

Colours

As standard: Black, Cream, Grey, Orange

Film Thickness

Recommended minimum DFT:

Corrosion resistance – 1.0mm

Abrasion resistance – 1.5mm

Typical application – 1.5-2.0mm

Coverage

Approximately 1m² per litre per 1mm DFT, rates will vary depending on geometric structure, site conditions and method of application.

Handling Properties

Curing temperature: Cure is temperature dependant and should not be less than 0°C.

A temperature of 5°C will give a reasonable rate of cure.

Service temperatures:

Wet conditions  -10°C to +70°C

Dry conditions  -40°C to +80°C

Tack free time at 20°C:

0.5mm – 2 hours

1.00mm – 1 hour

10mm – 30 minutes

NB Product can be handled after 6 hours curing at between 15°C to 20°C when applied at 2.0mm DFT.

Full cure attained after 7 days at 20°C. Curing is unaffected by immersion in water after an initial curing period of 1 hour for a 1.0mm DFT at 15°C to 20°C
